I'm certified guide for snow-shoeing and avalanche rescue in possession of 15 pairs snow-shoes, poles and rescue equipment. I attend training and course for snowshoeing in France 2013. You can join me also in other activities I do in Kosovo like: Ski Touring, Alpine Skiing, Sky-Trail Running, Mount Biking etc. Come and experience best ski slopes in Balkans and have adrenaline adventure in sport events. Beside sport activities I'm certified guide for Kosovo, I do lot of cultural tours in Historic town of Prizren and Kosova, visiting many important places of cultural heritage like Mosques, Monasteries, Museums, Castles etc. I can speak there local languages Albanian, Turkish and Serbo-Croatian.    Hidden in the valley of Bistrica river, in once historically and architecturally important urban and religious site, lay the leftovers of the Monastery of Holy Archangels. It is part of a greater historical complex of the old town/fortress called Prizrenac. The Monastery itself was founded by the Serbian Emperor Stefan Dušan between 1343 and 1352 on the site of an earlier church. It later became his burial church. It was not only until early twenties of the 20th century that its remains were found and later on explored. In 1999 and 2004 it has been the object of devastatation and attacks, while today it is under reconstruction and renovation.    Great atmoshphere, cosy and cool, veey friendly service. Rakia was top notch, coffee very good and hot chocolate worked wonders on kids. If you can get a seat at the window, even better.     We wanted closer contact with the villagers than is generally possible by staying in hotels so we hired a guide. Definitely worth it! Not only did we eat home cooked meals in villagers houses and stay in their houses, but did great hiking and biking. The biking to Brod was fantastic. From Brod we hiked up to the divide ridge with Macedonia; when we got caught in a storm we took shelter with shepherds in their mountain hut. Cool experience. With a guide you can converse with the locals and everyone is so friendly. We did not need a car rental during that period, and since the guide price includes lodging and meals (and bike rental), it really is not that expensive. Highly recommend Bekim of Sharri Ecotours, based in Prizren. Super nice guy. His wife Flacca showed us around Prizren which was also great. See more..

    The Church of Holy Saviour has a commanding position over the city of Prizren on a hillside just below the Kalaja Fortress. The original small chapel with beautiful but heavily damaged frescoes was originally built in the 14th century. It resides within a more modern structure which was constructed in the mid-to-late 19th century. Like many other churches and buildings it was set on fire and heavily damaged in March 2004. It is supposedly going to be restored but there is no evidence of work being done. There is a security guard at the locked gate who will give you access but there is sensitivity over who can come onto the property given what happened in 2004. There is supposedly a 2 euro entrance fee but we were not asked to pay for it. Instead, we left a contribution in one of the baskets in the chapel. Do visit this beautiful chapel while hiking up to the fortress. See more..
