  1. 5.0 Balkan Natural Adventure (237 reviews)
    - BNA - Choose your own (fantastic) adventure
    Monday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM Adrenaline & Extreme Tours • Ski & Snow Tours • Climbing Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
    Balkan Natural Adventure image
We did a self guided 6 day peaks of the Balkans trip with BNA. BNA were fantastic! They organised this with 2-3 weeks notice for us and also helped to customize this to our needs. The accommodation was simple, but clean and comfortable and gave a real feel of each of the areas we stay with home cooked food. The route was stunning and challenging. We had GPS notes, pdf maps and route notes which were sufficient with our iPhones to navigate ourselves along the way. The transfer were using locals and these worked very effectively between the places as long as you clearly confirmed the pick up times, place and person. All in all, I would highly recommend BNA for couples looking at either self-guided or guided trips with a moderate level of hiking experience. These guys will make sure you get from A to B easily and enjoy the beautiful scenery and people along the way. Thanks again BNA! See more..

    Rugova Mountains image
A Swiss friend admitted that it was just as stunning as the mountains in Switzerland, which is a big admission. Great for trekking and seeing amazing views across the mointain peaks of the 'Cursed Mountains' as they are called in Albanian (Bjeshkët e Nemuna). Very friendly locals and great prices. See more..
  3. 5.0 Outdoor Kosovo (63 reviews)
    - Peaks of the Balkans Trail with Fatos
Hiking & Camping Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
    Outdoor Kosovo image
Fatos was an amazing guide! We booked a 5-day trek of the Beaks of the Balkans with Fatos and it was fantastic. He tailored the trip to accommodate our time schedule, arranged transport for certain sections, and took care of booking us at some great guesthouses along the way, with excellent food. Cannot say enough how much we appreciated his prompt communication, fun attitude, story sharing and professionalism along the way. Would recommend to anyone doing this wonderful trek. Thanks Fatos! 4. 5.0 Via Ferrata Ari (46 reviews)
    - Easy enough for beginners without a guide
Spent More than 3 hours Hiking Trails
    Via Ferrata Ari image
I did this in August with a friend of mine and both of us have never done a via ferrata before. We went without a guide which worked well for us as we could go at our own pace. Our only problem was that it was a bit difficult to find the way back down. Overall it was really fun and not too challenging for a first-timer. I suggest you bring plenty of water. See more..

Meandering across europe in our Moskvich estate with small trailer we somehow ended up in Pec. Camped overnight in city centre with a squeky waterwheel !! \The whole town was dug up, laying pipes of some sort so we did not cross back across town to fill up with petrol at only etrol we saw.We headed north having no information apart from michelin map Rugova road was mainly gravel with no barriers, tunnel was there but NO developement at all. We eventually passed the village before climbing over the Cukor pass. There was a hut selling food on the top.By this time we were short of fuel , so coasted down for 3/4 hour!! till first petrol in montenegro Such a stunning place, totally unexpected, no traffic and being before the war such a friendly place WE did 4000 miles in total but this place was our favourite day this trip was in 1978 See more..

  9. 5.0 Great Wolf Cave (1 review)
    - Great advnture
    Caverns & Caves
This is not a walk in the park or what a usual tourist is used when visiting a cave. When you go here it is really speleology, and sometimes you have to crawl in the rocks and sometimes you have to do some easy climbing. With the guides it was easier, but do not try to do it alone. There is a lot to see including some small bats, underground lakes and waterfalls. See more..

  19. 4.5 Patriarchate of Pec (137 reviews)
    - Must see in Kosovo
    Historic Sites
    Patriarchate of Pec image
This is a world heritage site. Once you visit this you will understand why. As we were there during Covid-19, there were hardly any people. The site is protected by the KFOR, which is not very appreciated by the Serbs. Stay low on politics. This is a holy site for Serbs and is to be treated with the utmost respect. The fresco's are amazing and originates from the 13th century. Very, very impressive - and peaceful. See more..

  21. 4.5 Sleeping beauty Cave (15 reviews)
    - More interesting than the Marble Cave - well worth a visit
    Caverns & Caves
    Sleeping beauty Cave image
In Jly 2019, we visited the Radaci or Sleeping Beauty Cave the day after viewing the Marble Cave. We found this cave more interesting, as it is bigger (you visit three galleries) and there are more formations to see. The tour guide was most informative and spoke excellent English. The only thing we didn't like was the use of lots of coloured lights, which we thought detracted from the natural beauty of the cave. However, other reviewers loved the lights, so each to their own! The cave is open from April to October, from 10 am to 5 pm, and the admission charge was 2 euros. The cave can be visited at other times of the year by appointment only (+383 49 451 547) See more..

  25. 3.5 Old Bazaar of Peja (32 reviews)
    - Kosovo lifestyle
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Flea & Street Markets
    Old Bazaar of Peja image
The Bazaar of Peć is located in the center of the city located it is a remnant of the Ottoman rule there. The earliest mention of the Bazaar of Peć according to some sources is around the 14th century. The Bazaar of Peć has mainly an Ottoman architecture on the buildings, which mainly serve as stores today. The Bazaar of Peć was completely destroyed in 1999 war, it was fully rebuilt (after the 1999 war) and still keeps the Ottoman architecture. It is a lively market, with many types of shops and handicrafts, full of sights, sounds and smells. definitely a place to stop and admire for half a day. Prices so much cheaper than we are accustomed to. Local people wanted to chat, in (english), very friendly. See more..
  26. 3.5 Ethnological Museum (9 reviews)
    - Interesting to see the traditional customs and home life of Kosovo
Spent < 1 hour History Museums
    Ethnological Museum image
Allow about 30 minutes to visit the Ethnological Museum. A great example of traditional home architecture, culture, cooking utensils, family structures, traditional dress, weapons and musical instruments. My guide did not speak English but her daughter, Andula, who is about 10 years old has taught herself English and did a fabulous job translating with great enthusiasm. Entry costs 1 euro. Best to stop by in the late morning or early afternoon as they may open late or close early on selected days. Worth a visit. See more..
