- 4.5 Stone Money (51 reviews)
-Exploring the Island and stone money is a great way to spend an afternoon.
Ancient Ruins
Worth doing some reading in advance and making time to do a guided tour of the island and the various stone money locations. See more..
- 4.5 Tamilyog Trail (20 reviews)
-Wonderful walk
Hiking Trails
I highly recommend this trail for views of Yap and just general beauty - I saw a lot of beautiful birds, A WWII site (US plane) gorgeous lizards and butterflies and flowers all the way. I would DEFINITELY go down the trail to the northern / west coast and not just do the trail from road to road. This was the most beautiful part and takes you to a small village and stone money bank! Highly recommend you do more than diving and get out and walk this trail - but take lots of water! See more..
- 4.5 Beyond the Reef (17 reviews)
-These Guys Were Great
Water Sports • Lessons & Workshops
Nice small company running a friendly, professional dive shop. We had a great time. The guides were so patient and made sure we had seen as much as we wanted. We loved the fact that only a few people came each day. No crowds, very personal and fun. Highly recommended. See more..
- 4.5 Sunset Park (4 reviews)
-Beautiful sunset, definitely worth the trip
Parks
We chartered a cab from O'Keefe's ($20 for the hour) and went out to Sunset Park to catch the sunset. Very, very happy we did. We caught one of the best sunsets I've ever had a chance to see. The beach is so shallow for so long, and the wind was so still, we got some mirror-like pictures of a beautiful setting sun over the mangroves. There are some bugs out there, so spray wouldn't be a bad idea, but it's definitely worth a trip; only about a 10-minute drive from Colonia. See more..
- 4.5 Protestant Church (2 reviews)
-My church when I visit Yap
Religious Sites
This is the Evangelical Church on Lagoon Dr on Yap State (island) Federated States of Micronesia. There is a map related to this that actually shows Kolonia, Phonpei which is a different city and island but also part of Federated States The Services are held Sunday day and evening but you may wish to check in advance where as the church also runs a school at the base of this hill and may hold services there or at another church if the pastor (Ruda) is filling in. Services and hymns are performed in both English and local dialect. The pastors house is directly left of this building but not quite so high up. The church also has a large apartment that is made available for a donation for visiting workers but they do not stress this housing as they do not wish to be seen as competing with local hotels. One demonstration, in my opinion of the sincerity of the pastor's convictions and service in addition to holding services in the outlying villages for person not able to come in. See more..

- 3.0 Pohnpei State Botanical Garden (1 review)
-netter Ort, aber auch nicht besonders
Spent < 1 hour Gardens
See more..
- 2.5 Yap Rize Diving Center & Village View Resort (3 reviews)
-Appears to have been abandoned.
Scuba & Snorkelling
We went here and while the website is up and the directions are available, the buildings are nothing like the website. It appears this may have gone out of business and been abandoned. The cottages and nearby buildings are in bad shape so I certainly wouldn't stay in them. The beach area is lovely. See more..
