-SO FUN!!
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Cultural Tours • Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks • Boat Tours • Horseback Riding Tours
This tour was incredible! Pablo was our guide and he made they entire experience smooth & so much fun! There were several falls but there was also lots of time to enjoy the scenery (we did level ll-lll). The tour includes a meal at a delicious local restaurant, snacks, and time to enjoy swimming in the river. This company has excellent communication, they were confirming exact pick up times. There was also someone who was able to pick us up from our air bnb (1 hr away). The driver was excellent, super kind and patiently waited with all of our belongings. This experience is a must!! - 5.0 Dave & Dave's Costa Rica Nature Park (608 reviews)
-Wonderful experience!
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
We’ve had a beautiful afternoon at Dave & Dave’s. We were very lucky to see loads of birds, some of them rare, because the rain just stopped and attracted many (special) birds. It’s nothing like a zoo, the natural environment and care for natural habitats and food, makes it just a wonderful place to spot a variety of birds of Costa Rica (and some migrants too). And the enthusiasm and knowledge of both Dave jr and sr does give you the understanding it’s a special place te be. After a while on the platforms, Dave sr took the time to guide us through the jungle to the river, on the way we saw several green-black spotted frogs and red black jeans frogs. We really recommend this place for people who like to spot and learn about birds in a remote place. See more..

-Great kayaking experience!
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Kayaking & Canoeing
My wife and I had a very interesting kayaking trip with two nice guides. The river Sarapiqui is excellent to paddle and the guides of the SOC know the best places to paddle for every skill level. From beginner classes to advanced level there are many things to do for everybody. The guides (of course) are super skilled kayakers and watch for your safety at every time. The hole team at SOC is very friendly and nice and made us a very pleasant stay in La Virgen. We would recommend the Sarapiqui Outdoor Center for everyone who wants to have fun in the white water! - 5.0 Costa Rica Best Chocolate (193 reviews)
-Awesome look into chocolate production and history with Geiner.
Food Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
We learned a TON of interesting information about not just the making of chocolate but its history and the industry. Our guide, Geiner, had been with the company since its inception. He has accumulated so much knowledge through his own independent study that he could (and, I'd say, should!) write a book about chocolate. And then, of course, the chocolate we saw being made step by step and then got to taste was amazing -- unlike any chocolate I'd had before. See more..
- 5.0 Aventuras del Sarapiqui (174 reviews)
-Awesome rafting
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sightseeing Tours
Our tour group split into 3 rafts and the guide gave a good safety orientation, followed by pictures. We had 5 in our raft and it took a while before we jelled with trying to paddle together. It was awesome - since it was the start of the rainy season, the rapids were not really 'rapid' yet. Just right. It lasted an hour, and we could have done this all day as it was so much fun. The company took our pictures and you could purchase them for $50, and they emailed you a link that we could download. Very efficient. See more..

-Favourite part of our trip!
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Kayaking & Canoeing
We just came back from a 2 week stay in Costa Rica with our two boys (5 and 10 years old). The whitewater rafting trip was our boy’s favourite part of the trip! They loved the thrill of going down the river and we felt completely safe with our 2 guides who expertly guided the raft down rapid after rapid. The pace was just perfect – exciting enough to give us all a buzz yet safe enough for our 5 year old. The guides also took the time to point out nature all around and stopped for a welcome break to swim and eat a snack. Thank you for this unforgettable experience! See more..

The floating tour is great if you are not looking for sensations on the river but if you are rather interested in observating the nature around you. With the help of Jeff we spotted a family of howler monkeys right at the place where we did a stop for refreshments. All barrier gestures were well respected so it's also a very safe activity.
