   We visited Tipasa Archaeological Park in February, 2012, in the company of a guide organised by our hotel. We were very impressed with this park which is an ancient Roman settlement which a mindboggling array of facilities and functions- it is really big, well preserved and gives one a good idea of life in a Roman settlement. We were amazed by the excellent condition of the structures and the layout. The coastal setting is beautiful. The only drawback was that we are English speakers, our guide spoke very little English and there were no English language guidebooks available. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED See more..

   This structure is, as others have mentioned, meant to be the tomb of King Juba II and his wife Cleopatra Selene (the daughter of Cleopatra and Mark Anthony). It is a very imposing structure and well worth a visit. You cannot go inside - you just walk around and peer closely at it. There is a nice view from the hill it is on of the surrounding plains.    The marina is a typical Mediterranean fishermen village, however not much attention is given to it. Nice location and scenery but needs to be looked after and maintained.
