    Finding Christian Value in China
This campus of Zhejiang University (Zhi Jiang campus, near Liu He Pagoda) was established in 1890s and called Hangchow University. It is not a touristy destination but more for those who love history. As one of the 13 Christian universities in the 20th century China, Hangchow University/Hangchow Presbyterian College attracted top professors and students. One of its presidents was brother of the last US Ambassador to China before communists took over. Indeed, the Stuart brothers were born and raised in a church in downtown Hangzhou/Hangchow. Many buildings reflect the university’s Christian root. Photo 3 is called Preservation Hall, and photo 6 was the on campus church and was named after Tooker family in West Orange, NJ.

Very interesting example of early western education in China
One the oldest universities of China about 120 years. It has glorious past and prosperous future. The old campus is an inspiring walk through the history of education in China before the empire was crushed until the communist victory. It still preserves the look and style of the century's age
