Go for another beautiful Chinese garden... Stay for Mr. Beer
My wife and I have strolled this garden area many times. It is right by Yue Fei's memorial and the West Lake Impressions show. If you are scenic spotted out, but you feel a need to continue to experience Hangzhou, this is a good spot. It is beautifully nestled on the edge of the lake. Sculpted trees and human influenced natural beauty tucked away from the urban hustle and bustle. That is not the unique part. The West Lake area is famous for these beautiful scenes. At Quyuan Gardens, there is a small beer garden tucked away in its center. There is a large sign that says Mr. Beer, but the actual name escapes recollection. They have a nice assortment of Western beers. Including some of my favourite Belgians like Triple Karmeliet, Delirium, and of course a Chimay offering. It's a wonderful place to take in scenery, company and good beer! If beer isn't to your liking, you will also find a Starbucks on the edge of the Garden and deep inside the garden.... This is Hangzhou, you can always find Starbucks.

Lotus flower blossom
Do you like taking photos of gorgeous Lotus flowers, while enjoying a stroll in the nice Chinese garden? This is a must see when you are in Hangzhou. Make sure the season is right. August to mid September would be the best time to visit.
