Best time to visit is SPRING. If not, you can skip this place
It is one of the traditional parks that locals choose to visit in the spring. Basically, it mimics tulip field in Netherlands. It is very beautiful in spring; but nothing if you have seen tulips in Netherlands already. It can be very very very busy! And I am not joking. Definitely do not visit during public holidays and weekend if you have choice. I would not even drive near there during those days. If you visit around summer time, maybe better get some mosquitos spray or stay away from the stream. Unless you want to look like a pink sweetcorn after visit.

Lovely walk away from the traffic!
Stumbled on this park right acrooss West Lake. It is a beautiful oasis across the busy walkways around the lake. Just be careful how the cross the road to the park. It is a wonderful experience to see chinese families spending time together and of course the lay out of the park is just beautiful. We also chanced upon a collection of local food stores in the park - which meant you can just pick up a snack or drink and stroll through the gardens. Just lovely for families.

Visit when the tulips are blooming
Prince Bay Park (or Taiziwan Park) is one of the many lovely parks around the West Lake. Although beautiful in any season, the best time to visit is in March or April when thousands of tulips are blooming. (This time is also extremely popular with local visitors, so don't expect to have the park all to yourself.) Prince Bay Park is on Nanshan Road, near one end of the Su Causeway.
