Historic train in the rain

Lovely activity for train enthusiasts, those young at heart or generally historically interested. Lovely way to feel and experience history. The steamtrain and it's stations give you moneys worth of experiences and was a good days activity. This is indeed best experienced on a sunny day, but despite the rain we had a good day. Sometimes it was obvious that this was not very professional, but my hat off to all the volunteers making the train running days come through.

    Goes Steam Train
A delightful steam train journey run by enthusiastic, helpful, knowledgeable volunteers who all speak excellent English. Their dedication to this lovely railway is obvious and the trip makes a really first class outing for young and old alike. We started and ended our journey at Hoedekenskerke, parking at the large grassy area adjacent to the cemetery. There is a 7.25 inch ground level railway, café, shop and exhibition too at Hoedekenskerke station which makes waiting for the train to return to Goes fun.

    Great Experience
The steam train was exciting. The waiting room was amazing. The journey wasn't very long but good fun. The little town enroute was great as was the old house museum.
