One of the beautiful sites of Veere
The town of Veere is an old shipping town that is surrounded by a fort, walls and canals. It is a very romantic town and is a must see. This is one the few remaining windmills in the Netherlands that is not a tourist trap. There are history stations where you can read about the 80 year War from this area. There is ample parking near this site and in town.

    Positive discovery
This small village is worth discovering, walking around during daylight to discover the village itself (including some very charming shops) but as well walking around the center to discover the mill and dike. Staying for the evening discovering it during the fading light and walking around in the charme of the illmuminated houses while going to a cosy restaurant is absolutely worth doing.
