WW2 remains under the sand

they sed to be part of the fortress hitler build at the border of the third reich..in occupied Walcheren (one of the islands of the province of Zeeland) and they used to be burried in tons of sand. now some of them were excaveated and cleaned. and now open to the public. stiff climb to the observation bunker. two bunkers are avai;able to view how the german soldiers who were sent there just as the british soldiers were sent to placesfar away from home by the staff..they had to guard the frontier in huge blocks of concrete scatterd around the coast from norway down to the spanish border. used to be more that 40000 bunkers and these two ar very good to get a glimpse of life of german soldiers in WW2
