In the castle Casemates the brooding figure looms large. Seated with arms crossed and eyes shut he manages to still grasp a sword with one hand. Legend has it that he will only awaken when Denmark is under threat from enemies. He will then arise and raise his sword.

    To reach Holger you need to go to Kronborg Castle and there is an under ground route which takes you to HOLGER . One of the sites to see in Kronborg.

    Worth the visit
    If you are into history and legends you must visit the casemates in Kronborg Castle and learn about the adventures of this legendary "danish" hero. * other european traditions also claim Holger as their own. But I personally like the danish version :)
