Experimentarium, Zealand, Denmark

4.5 (501 reviews) Monday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Ranking #1 in Copenhagen Region Children's Museums

Loads to keep children of all ages entertained. The best interactive science museum we have visited.

We visited as it was one of the activities included in the Copenhagen card. It was well worth the trip out of the centre of Copenhagen (a couple of stops on the train or an hour's walk). It was a brilliant day out, there was so much to do we didn't get chance to do everything. It is very interactive and our children (aged 10 and 12) absolutely loved it. There were so many interactive exhibits-bubbles, a storm simulator, a sensory experience, team activities and a theatre to name a few. There were live science displays as well-the staff were very fluent in both Danish and English (and switching between the two) very impressive. It is the best science museum we have visited and if it was closer to home (England!!) we would definitely be back.

Hours of fun for the kids
Huge place with two floors full of different exhibits with different themes changing from time to time. You might want to look at their homepage and see the age recommendation for the exhibits beforehand and decide a possible visit as we experienced some of them to difficult for our kids to follow. Expensive but many hours of fun - skip the souvenir store.
