Enjoyed Gounod's Faust

We were delighted to spend an evening in the grand modern auditorium that has superb acoustics. We arrived as daylight faded and it looked magnificent lit up at the water's edge. Gounod's Faust was top-rate. With a contemporary setting, music and singing were exemplary. With centre seats in First Balcony’s first row, we had prime views of the stage. To arrive, we took the metro to Kongens Nytorv and then a fine walk along Nyhavn, crossing the Butterfly Bridge and onwards.

Enjoyed Tosca and a Guided Tour
My wife and I did a guided tour of the Opera House and then stayed and saw Tosca. What an amazing place. The tour was extraordinary. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made sure all our questions had been answered. We saw the smaller stage, the admin area, the backstage area, and the best part of all, the main opera hall. Just spectacular. The performance later in the afternoon was that much better, having done the tour beforehand.

Bad Start Changed by Extraordinary Service
Not easy to be a walking-impaired guest to the Opera. This was, however, compensated by excellent service on the spot. The result was new (better & pricy :-)) tickets, being escorted to the elevator and an extraordinary experience of a show, where music, song and new lyrics was professionally aligned.
