    Flying Tigers Memorial
This is a sensitively handled memorial to the many Chinese who lost their lives defending not only their city but the whole nation with the aid of a small group of Americans, affectionately dubbed 'The Flying Tigers". They consisted of aircrewmen and ground support crews under the leadership of US Generals Chenault and Stillwell. A memorial the the gGenerals and 19 of these 'fly boys' can be found at the base of the hill where the 'fallen' Chinese are buried.

Decent place to spend an hour or two
With Tengchong's history at the border of the Japanese invasion from Burma one would be surprised if there WASN'T a museum like this around. It's all pretty nice and interesting but it's not very big so don't plan on spending more than an hour or so. It is of course full of nationalistic and anti-Japanese blah blah but that's something you get used to quickly in China. Recommendable.
