Enlightening

Proudly situated at the head of an enormous boulevard stands this impressive cathedral like museum houses the nation's collection of ancient manuscripts. It is also a major research institute. It was our first museum in Yerevan and the guided tour by our wonderfully passionate guide gave us an introduction and insight into Armenian civilisation. Made a great start to exploring the country.

History of humanity in medieval manuscrips
It’s a great place to get a sense of the Armenian history, culture and connectedness to the world heritage. The best thing is that you get a lot of insights in a relatively short time. It’s not a big museum. It’s a working research institute with a small museum showcasing the most interesting examples. Take a guide. It’s absolutely worth your time and money. It’s an eye opener, even for Armenians. A must visit in Yerevan
