Photo Tour on the Withlacoochee
This was a wonderful tour to take. Very inexpensive and well worth the two hour boat Eco tour. My husband and I take pictures of wildlife so our purpose for the tour was to travel the Withlacoochee River and take pictures of the wildlife. We were not disappointed. The added bonus was the narrative given by Captain Rick. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and identified a lot of the plants and foliage for us. I highly recommend this tour for anyone to take if you are in the area.

Time well spent
We ate at the Blackriver restaurant in Yankeetown and noticed Captain Rick’s tour boat. We decided, that since we were taking care of our grandson the following Saturday, to take the tour. It was well worth the time and expense. Captain Rick, and his dog, Buddy, made for an enjoyable experience on the Withlacoochee River. Captain Rick is very knowledgeable about the history of area and life along the river during the phosphate boom. He’s also very familiar with the aquatic life and the many birds that call the area home. We plan on taking another tour in different seasons to see the changes nature makes.

WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL
This was a wonderful river trip given by Gapt. Rick who was very imformative on the area. It was a lovely afternoon and I will remember it fondly as a wonderful part of our holiday - would highly recommend and would do it again. The trip was round the coastal river of Yankeetown pointing out the history and wildlife and takes you out to the Mexican Gulf, the trip was about 1.5 hours, there were six of us on the boat which we did book. If you are in the area please do try this as it is well worth it.
