    Stunning view on the KKH
    Another must seeing scenery on the way from Kashgar to Tashkorgan. Not far from the Karakul lake, but no less worth to stop than Karakul lake. Blue water and golden dune out of your imagination. Never forgettable.

    You will see this first before Karakul Lake
    So starkly white were the sand mountains that it contrasted with the turquoise waters. On a good clear day you can get amazing photos but as with these places it's better to check the weather forecast first. It's about an hour or so before Karakul Lake so you'll definitely saw this on the way and it should already be on the driver's scenic spot list and included in your Karakul/Tashkurgan tour.
