Must Do If you are in Grand Teton
If you don't feel like hiking any of the trails in Grand Teton NP, the 42 mile Scenic Loop Drive is the best option. We started the drive at 7 am on a Sunday (8/30) at Mormon Row for the best lighting for photography. We made stops at Schwabacher Landing, Cunningham Cabin, Oxbow Bend, Jackson Lake Dam, Signal Mountain and various turnout points. We took our time at each place and finished in about 4 hours.

Beautiful First Day Orientation
This is a definite must-do, especially for first timers. The drive is full of turnouts, overlooks, attractions, and just drop dead stunningly beautiful views. Hard to pick one or two highlights or don't miss stops, but ours were Jenny Lake Scenic Drive (fantastic one-way backroad), Moose Wilson Road (again a one way backroad), and surprisingly the Signal Mountain scenic drive up to the Jackson overlook. Really too many to mention, so just pull or turn at the ones that interest you and you can't go wrong. As far as time allotment, you can likely do the entire loop and see most of the sites in one full day. It's a a really good way to get an overview of the park, and then go dig deeper in following days.

West side best for views
We did the loop on a drizzly day and the views along Jackson and Jenny lakes were still spectacular. The east route between Moran Junction and Moose Junction was fairly boring. Didn't see any wildlife in this area but there is nothing you can do about that as they are wild animals. Recommended
