Favorite Dells Attraction

Literally the best experience to have in Wisconsin. Do yourself a favor and plan to stop here no matter what age you are. I am approaching thirty and found this to be one of my favorite Dells attractions on a recent visit. Who wouldn’t want to get up close and feed an obnoxious number of deer? Also, who knew there were so many different types of deer? The deer here want to come say hello in the most personal of ways – eating the crackers you hold in your hand. Purchase some food when you enter, it literally brings the deer to you in swarms. Once you feed them, they start to follow you too. Hands down a favorite experience in the Dells.

    Fun to have done once.
It was fun to see deer up close and be able to pet them. We went later in the day and due to the heat most of the deer were in shaded spots that attendees cannot go. It was fun to say we’ve done it but $50 for 2 adults and a child with buying food was a bit much. Happy to have gone won’t do it again.

    Interactive and Immersive Experience
Visited with my wife and our 6-year-old daughter, and all three of us had a wonderful time. The park is well-maintained and kept fairly clean throughout (although watch your step with some many deer wandering freely). Most of the deer are very friendly and will approach you in the anticipation of getting some food. A few of the others are little shy and will stay further away. Plenty of interactive opportunity throughout the entire complex to keep you engaged and entertained, though. While the deer make up the majority of the animals within the park, there are some designated sections around the perimeter with other animals to see; such as elk, llamas, emu, etc. These animals are allowed to roam freely like most of the deer, but you can still feed and interact with some of them. Pricing is on the higher side but is very reasonable for the quality of the experience. Highly recommend paying the $4 for the package of crackers that you use to feed the deer and other animals. Also recommend allocating at least an hour or two to thoroughly enjoy the full experience. The park isn't huge but is spacious and spread out.
