Literally the best experience to have in Wisconsin. Do yourself a favor and plan to stop here no matter what age you are. I am approaching thirty and found this to be one of my favorite Dells attractions on a recent visit. Who wouldn’t want to get up close and feed an obnoxious number of deer? Also, who knew there were so many different types of deer? The deer here want to come say hello in the most personal of ways – eating the crackers you hold in your hand. Purchase some food when you enter, it literally brings the deer to you in swarms. Once you feed them, they start to follow you too. Hands down a favorite experience in the Dells. See more..

We had a ball on the ghost tour. We enjoyed the ride out to Witch's Gulch and then walking along the trails we were continually "scared" by the live actors. It was so much fun! They do an excellent job. Meeting all the actors afterwards in their costumes was really enjoyable too. One person did NOT heed the warnings and brought a young child. He was crying. Our entire family (10 adults and 8 children) stayed 3 days and 2 nights in two of the 3 bedroom condos. We had a GREAT time, check in was a breeze! The condos had plenty of room for all of us, very clean, stocked with everything you might need and the cleaning staff was very accommodating. Alot of activities to keep all ages busy till we dropped! The other thing that really impressed me was the customer service. We accidently left a couple of things behind the Lost and Found department emailed me about the items and were welling to package the items and mailed them to us. We had a wonderful assistant giving us 12 standard tastings plus a couple of additional ones that we requested. Afterwards, we listened to musical entertainment on the outdoor stage area while sitting in a double swinging chair. There was shade, nice trees, nice view of the growing grapes, and food available. I love cheese and I'm always looking for kinds you can't get in the grocery store. I live in Michigan and you really can't get cheese curds, so I always try and get them when I go to Wisconsin, which is rare. Unfortunately, when I stopped late in the afternoon at the shop on Broadway, they had sold out but would be getting some the next morning. I bought many other types of cheese including 10 year aged cheddar and different cheese from goat and sheep milk as well as blended cheeses. The prices were fair coming from a cheese place in a tourist town. I stopped on the way out of town the next morning to get the cheese curds I had missed the day before. I highly recommend this place and they do have more than just cheese including some souvenirs. See more..

Our favorite waterpark is for sure Klondike Kavern due to the wide variety of slides and mostly because of our favorite one: the Hurricane. I recommend staying at the Wilderness for this park alone. It was really cool being able to go into the kangaroo enclosure to pet and feed the kangaroos. The parakeet experience was also really neat, being able to get so close to and feed the birds while many of them flew overhead. I would recommend purchasing the animal lunchbox to feed and interact with the animals. The admissions fee is quite high for the few animals that are there. It is quite obvious all over this park that the zoo is actually a family run business, rather than an actual accredited zoo. There are no zoologists or other employees professionally trained in animal care taking. It is a cool experience but a bit pricy for the lack of professional exhibits. See more..

This place is like the Wild West. The young people working do not enforce any “rules” except, “Stay seated” after the “race” is over until the guy at the starting line dismisses you. In between the start and your dismissal is a constant barrage of kids and teens playing a dangerous game of bumper cars. I witnessed several crashes and some nasty whiplash smashes. This was the perfect winter experience for a three generation outing with a family that ranged in age from 12 to 69. We were given 2 hours of time (you can earn some more time) to complete as many quests as we could. These quests involved having to traipse back and forth between many imaginatively and artistically decorated zones arranged over three floors of the building to check out particular details. There were many secret doors and arrangements to delight the eye. We divided into two teams— 5 guys and four gals. The women completed more quests, but they discovered some cheat codes! We wanted to get our 3 year old on skis. It cost us $15 for everything, including a helmet and an hour lesson. Kerry is the best ski instructor I have ever met. He is so knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loves what he does. My 3 year old was skiing by himself after 3 runs. Kerry is amazing for kids and adults! Do yourself a favor and find him! He just wants everyone to enjoy skiing or snowboarding and is willing to help anyone!! The tubing hill was fast. Fun. But fast. I took my 3 year old and 1 1/2 year old. Wow. Definitely a lot of fun. A little expensive on the weekends. We lucked out going during the week. It also wasn’t super busy, so we took our time and I felt safe with there not being g a ton of people on the hill. Find Kerry! My husband and I came here on Thursday, June 12, as part of our one day in the Dells. I had never been nor did I even know what a "Glockenspiel" even was! Every hour on the hour, the Glockenspiel chimes and within moments, one gets to see and hear the story of the legendary Pied Piper. This is a beautiful state park! It's pretty small, so I'd recommend visiting when you're in the area rather than going out of your way. However, the scenery is lovely, particularly the rock formations. You can get a quick hike in and this would also be a nice place for a picnic. My only complaint is that the trail was not as well-maintained as it could be -- it was a little overgrown in places and there was a downed tree across one part that looked to have been there a while.
