Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center, Florida, United States

4.5 (12 reviews) Spent More than 3 hours Ranking #4 in White Springs State Parks

1st American Composer! Must see - learn something great!

I knew the music, did not know Stephen Foster wrote all of it. I sang all these songs growing up, Oh, Susanna, Camptown Races, etc. This was a small but well worth it museum. The grounds are beautiful. The bell tower, one of a kind. If you are visiting the north part of Florida you should make time to visit this museum and park.

A Step into the Old South
Stephen Foster wrote so many folk songs and this place shows stories of his life, love and passion. On hands exhibits are great to teach your children or grandchildren. They have a gift store and upstairs local artist sell the arts.

    Interesting dioramas
Beautiful piece of property. Lovely amount of memorabilia. Was surprised by who had donated some of the pianos. Might have to come back during one of the festivals.
