Good, Unusual Attraction
The Arctic Fox Centre in Sudavik is the home of Arctic fox research in Iceland with year round projects constantly collecting and furthering knowledge on this inspiring creature and passing this on to our visitors through our unique exhibition which is the worlds only dedicated solely to the Arctic fox. Our outdoor fox enclosure hoouses rescued orphaned pups giving our visitors the chance to "meet" live Arctic foxes while the on site cafe serves freshly made, home baked cakes and pastries as well as more substantial meals of vegetable soups and plokkfiskur fish stew. We look forward to seeing you!

Good, Unusual Attraction
The genial guide at the Arctic Fox Center was eager for the tour to see the foxes, but only the year-old fox came out because it was raining. Stuffed foxes and white and brown pelts were displayed in the small museum. Explanatory posters shed light on the foxes' habits and the purpose of the rehabilitation center.

Personalized Experience, but Not a Wow Factor
The fox caregiver was extremely nice. When we first arrived, we met the only fox they currently have at the Centre. She was outside in a fenced area. She was very playful and cute to watch. She did come close to the edge of the fence, so everyone was able to get a good look at her. If you take your gaze away from the fox, the area is beautiful. We were able to enjoy the streams, the fjord, and mountains surrounding us. After some quality time outside, we were invited to go into the Centre. It's like a museum full of history and each room has in-depth information to share. There are taxidermized foxes, be aware if you do not like these type of things. The gift shop is small but there are nice home-made items consider for souvenirs.
