Cute place, reasonably priced delicious food, interesting museum
Interesting museum and walking path with artwork. Worth a stop if you are in the Westfjords! Great vegan choices and delicious homemade ice cream- affordable prices. You can bottle feed a lamb, too. What's not to like?

    Informative, humorous, charming
Sheep are everywhere in Iceland but it was only by visiting this excellent little museum that we learnt exactly how they have shaped the landscape and the lives of Icelanders, and how the sheep industry has changed in modern times. Many family photos make the exhibition really authentic. Humorous little anecdotes has us smiling and laughing our way around the exhibition. Comprehensive, informative, well-written guides are available in English and German. There is also a cafe at the museum with fantastic views (sadly we had just done cake and coffee somewhere else) but if the smell of home-made cakes from the kitchen was as good as the taste, it's likely to be a great place for refreshments, too. One of our favourite experiences of Iceland - this museum is a little gem!
