The best coffee is the one you roast yourself!
After our gorilla trekking we had 1 day to spend in Kisoro and were recommended by other travellers to check out the new tour company Mountain Gorilla Coffee Tours (next door to The Coffeepot). Even though we turned up at 10AM it was still possible to do a tour the same day. We had a great time, starting with canoeing Lake Mutanda (be prepared to peddle yourself as well!), walking in the stunning environment, crossing rural villages with breathtaking views of the lake and volcanos. Then we had a local lunch at the house of a community member, one of the best meals we have had in Uganda. Such a hospitality! Highlight of the day however, was roasting our own coffee, which was so much fun! We got about 0,5kg of beans to bring home, just the best souvenir. All in all this was a great and very affordable day!

    Most beautiful lake of Uganda
This is the most beautiful lake of Uganda. The view over the Virunga volcanoes is amazing! The tranquillity, crested cranes soaring over, pied crows shouting and from the top of the hills next to to them a view that you will never forget! A Must see when in southern Uganda.
