Amazing wildlife and great guides

We took a three-hour tour on the Kazinga channel and had an amazing experience seeing and watching the wildlife up and down the channel. Huge numbers of Elephants including a herd that came down to the channel with their very small calves and allowed us to get relatively close for a look. Lots of Buffalo and Hippo too as well as warthog, bushbuck, waterbuck, and a Giant Forest Hog. Crocodile too and loads of birds including kingfishers, stork, ibis, herons, bee-eaters and skimmers. The guide was excellent at both spotting interesting wildlife as well as telling us all about them and the location. Thoroughly recommend.

    Elephants and Hippos Up Close!
The Kazinga Channel boat tour was everything it was hyped to be. We were able to get very close to five elephants splashing and playing in the water. The hippos liked to turn their backs to us, but we still were able to get some great photos. The fishing village along the route is extremely picturesque, even Disneyesque, with it's multiple boats parked on the shore and a peninsula chock full of animals sunning or grazing. Our ranger guide was very informative and pointed out several species of birds. He answered all of our questions and was able to weave in some funny and interesting stories along with the facts about what we saw. I appreciated that the boat would linger near the animals on the shore to give everyone time to watch and enjoy them, as well as to take pictures. I never felt that we were rushed along the route. In my opinion, the Kazinga Channel tour is the only reason to visit the northern sector of QENP. You won't see nearly as many animals on your land safari in QENP as you will along the channel. This tour is a must do.

Amazing but please don't hound the animals
This trip was great! Our guide was amazing and we saw lots of wildlife. The only really disturbing thing was when we saw an elephant on the shore --- he was frolicking and grazing and it was so cool. Our boat driver cut the motor to let us watch. Then two other boats came by, didn't cut the motor. The elephant clearly became agitated and I hated seeing this. They didn't cut the motor or back off when it was clear that the elephant needed space. Very sad. I hope they stop this practice
