Natural Spring - Great watering hole - 15-20 minutes outside of Jerusalem

Natural spring just out side of Jerusalem . There is a small store, bathrooms on site. Great place to visit and to cool down. Also to have a picnic. Bar-b-ques are not allowed. It's a 5 minute walk from the road. The path back up is steep.

    Absolutely breathtaking
    A most beautiful scenery set. It's based around a spring and small river. The spring is full of people, arabs and jews side by side, playing in the water together. (we have a photo of my friend (jew) jumping into the water, holding hands with an arab!) I'm not sure about the safety of hiking in the surrounding areas, but the actual site has extensive security. The scenery is unreal, looks like HDR! It's really beautiful Note: It's not accepted for ladies to go into the main pool, but you can find your own spot

    An interesting phenomenon
    This is a pulsing fountain. Water fill up the (man made) pool from an underground stream, then empty into the wadi. The cycle depends on the seasonal rains feeding the stream. You can bring a bathing suit. The parking lot is about 500 meters away and about 50 meters up, so there is a relatively steep climb back to the car.
