Great beach! Great for birding!
The trails and beach are great. Lots of shells and flat sand, which is perfect for building anything. Walk along the trails or the jetty for some wonderful views of waves, surfers, birds, mammals, and more. Bring a kite if you like! Parking lot is really good, along with grass parking once it fills up. Discover pass required for all parking. Slightly difficult to walk to the beach as the sand isn't always super compact or the rocks sometimes shift under foot. On the right side of the jetty, the wind is calmer. Be sure to watch for birds that feed close to the start of the jetty on the right side. Also a great spot to go diving for crab. Make sure you have a crab permit though!

Nice! one of my favorite places
popular beach, not as easy to get on as 1/2 moonbay but well worth the trip anytime, always find nice shells and other small ocean gifts many surfers seem to like this place too

A large day-use park with ocean, bay views
Close to the city's marina and a 1.3 mile walk from Westport Light State Park, a relatively short drive in just south of the marina takes one to a generous parking lot. A Discover Pass ($30/year) or a day use ($10) is required. From the parking lot, it's a short and fairly easy walk (for most people) to get ocean/bay views. Take in the panorama, but do dress in layers!
