Worth the Drive!

We stopped in on a Monday afternoon on our way south from Seattle. Susie was a tremendous host. She enthusiastically hosted our wine tasting while sharing the interesting story behind this estate winery. Our group of 6 split the two wine tastings that were offered to get the full experience. We really enjoyed our tastings (some in our group were big fans of the Pinot Noir Rose and want to give it a shout out. Check out their party pack of 4). The Cab Syrah was also a fan favorite. When we were done, Susie confirmed our choice of lunch places in Zillah as top notch and sent us on our way with a suggestion for another winery with a beautiful view of the Columbia River Gorge (she was right again). The grounds are well kept, the views are postcard worthy and Two Mountain is close to other wineries if you have time. You can sit in or outside (in the shade or in the sun). Great place to spend some relaxing time with friends and family.

    PaPa Bear of the Valley
We were attracted to this winery because it is open to six. Turns out they grow more grapes that damn near everyone else. Owned by third generation brothers, we were given an erudite analysis of farming by the finance major farmer half of ownership. Building is elegant and classy. We bought two bottles of the 2012 Brothers Reserve at $62 each. It was so delicious my wife and I finished every drop.

Very Good Wine - - Great Experience
We went to Two Mountain Winery for a wine tasting and enjoyed the wine and a whole lot more. The wines were very good and we brought a bottle of their Cab Franc Reserve back home to Georgia to enjoy with friends. The people made the experience even better. Marcos was a great host and educated us about their wines. Susie was fantastic, recommended another winery to visit down the road and, yes, even took us there in her car. Then when Ubers were limited late in the day, Susie went way out of her way and took us back to our hotel in Yakima. That's top notch customer service. Our day of wine tasting in Yakima Valley was most memorable for the community feeling among the friendly people at the Two Mountain, Treveri, Sheridan and VanArnam wineries. They all support each other and take a personal interest in visitors enjoying their wines and experience. Even though we traveled 2,500 miles to get there, they made us feel right at home
