Great Wine, People and Setting
We picked up lunch at Whidbey Doughnuts (which has great breakfasts and excellent sandwiches) and headed to bucolic Spoiled Dog Winery—a visit we’ve made many times over the years. We paired our sandwiches with Spoiled Dog’s Syrah Rosé, which was wonderful. This is the best winery on Whidbey to visit, in our humble opinion, because the wines are great, the people super friendly, and the setting amazing. Surrounded by fir trees, this local farm vineyard/winery has all sorts of great spots for tasting wine or just drinking a glass with your picnic lunch. It’s an outing you don’t want to miss!

Relaxing island experience
I don’t think you could find a more relaxing way to spend time on Whidbey Island. Their wine garden is peaceful and pleasant, and I like the way you can order flights or just wine by the glass, relax with friends and nibble on snacks or bring your own picnic. What a nice find.
