Heightened views (pub intended)
We contemplated not going up the lighthouse but we are so happy we did. The views are incredible, the volunteer staff are knowledgeable, and the base is full of historic items. We had a small wait to go to the top, it is pretty small so only about 5 people could go at a time. But its worth the wait. The views are spectacular.

Beautiful place to visit
This park is very pretty and well maintained. The parking is paid parking so be sure and get your parking sticker so you don't get a parking ticket. Very nice playground for your children with clean bathrooms to boot.

Great park on the water.
The gift shop is in the assistant lighthouse keeper's quarters. Even if you aren't interested in souveniers, go in and check the finish and trim. Very nice.
