A Must See

Housed in a majestic Beaux Art mansion overlooking the Columbia River Gorge, Maryhill Museum of Art is one of the NW's most fascinating cultural destinations. Explore world-class European & American art, an extensive American Indian art collection, sculptures and watercolors by Auguste Rodin - one of the largest collections in the US - and much, much more. Cafe, museum shop, sculpture garden, & picnic grounds on-site. In 2012 the museum opened its 25,000 square foot Mary & Bruce Stevenson Wing, featuring a dedicated arts education suite, a cafe with terrace seating and sweeping views of the Gorge and Mount Hood.

    Pleasant day trip
Always enjoy the Sam Hill history and expansion of the timeds, this trip the Roumanian textile and crafts exhibit, Theater Mode,, Chess Sets!! and of course the Queen Marie history, as family origins are from Rumania and that period. Cafe and family terrace provide delightful moments and gorge scenery, grounds also include picnic tables. Air conditioned inside a plus in the heat wave

    Surprise!
This museum is a must see because it’s such an eclectic collection in such a beautifully remote area. This mansion overlooking the Columbia holds bits of history and art from prehistory, First Nations across North America, Romanian treasures, Paris fashion & sculpture plus local PNW transportation development. Then there’s the gardens and sculptures out there
