Perfect for whale lovers
The Langley Whale Center is a project of the nonprofit organization Orca Network, based on Whidbey Island, WA. The Whale Center offers exhibits about the whales and marine mammals of the Salish Sea, including skeletal exhibits and specimens collected and prepared by our Central Puget Sound Marine Mammal Stranding Network, videos about the marine life in the Salish Sea, and activities for young and old. Volunteer docents are on hand to answer questions about our exhibits. Continue your learning at home by visiting our gift shop, which carries books, CDs, DVDs, field guides, and whale themed gifts to commemorate your visit to the Whale Center, or to buy as gifts for others. Gift shop sales and donations support the Langley Whale Center and affiliated educational programs. The Langley Whale Center is open Thursdays through Sundays, 11 am - 5 pm, with additional special holiday openings throughout the year.

Good hearted people who love and protect whales!
There is a lot of history in the area around whales, whaling, and currently captive whales, in particular Orca whales, which we claim as "our own" special whales around these parts. Learn about the local pods, the transients, our checkered past, the other whales and cetaceans in the area, and meet the friendly people working there who will tell you all about the effort to free Lolita, whale-watching trips, and recent sightings. Free - but leave a donation if you can!

Very informative
This is a very small shop with some very unique things. A room for just children to learn about whales. Harvey was friendly and very helpful! Love to see his passion for the whales!!
