Not too difficult with an amazing view
Lots of sun and little shade on this east-facing exposure so dress accordingly and go early in the summer months. It took us about 90 minutes to go up and 60 to go down. Glad we went early because by the time we came down the parking lot was full and it was getting too hot.

Beautiful views and wildflowers
Grueling hike uphill for two middle aged people, but the views and wildflowers were well worth it! At the top you have gorgeous views on both sides. We even saw a waterfall in th mountains in late May. Lupines and arrowleaf basalmroot wildflowers were absolutely gorgeous!

Great day hike
Great, moderate day hike just minutes from downtown Leavenworth. The road was difficult to find, but once we did, there was easy parking and well-marked trailhead. It took us nearly 3 hours up and back, with a steady incline, switchback trail for a little more than 3 miles. It was hot as we neared the top, so recommend bringing extra water. And the trail is narrow and slippery in some spots, so consider hiking poles if you are at all unsteady. The payoff 360 views at the top were worth it and it was nice to have the occasional shade on the way up for a break. Not sure this one would be great for very little kids, due to the width of the trail, but it is well-maintained and a great day adventure.
