New and Renovated

The new go-karts are really fun. The whole track has been redone and they have newer faster karts. plus the price is cheaper. The family really enjoyed it.

    GREAT FAMILY FUN
Lets see between the go-karts, mini-golf course, the latte market, and the ice-dream and hot dog place are great, I am very please that the new owners have taken a keen interest in this establishment and is a great place FOR FUN. And yes the staff is great as well.

What's a touristy city without its Go Kart track?
An enjoyable go-kart experience. * The track was a little short compared to others I have seen, but it is OK. I'd prefer a longer track with a mix of both sharp and mild turns, and a long straightaway. This one, because it is crammed into a relatively small place, has one moderate straightaway on the backside, but the rest of it is almost exclusively nothing but sharp turns of 90 degrees or more. * Sessions officially run 10 minutes, but in the several runs we took (about 5 sessions over the course of 3 days), it seemed like they gave us more like 15 minutes; one time we got 20 minutes when the lone employee on duty seemed to be busy at the shorter little kids track. Maybe during summer peak season they are a little more rigid with the clock. * The guys who work at the place are characters, nice people but embodying the stereotypical physical appearance traits of "carnies". It did seem distinctively low brow, however, when one of the employees took a kart out on the track between sessions (presumably a recently repaired one, to see if it was working) with an unlit cigarette dangling from his mouth. C'mon guys, show at least a little bit of self-awareness at an establishment where you have families present. * Their website should offer information on pricing (it does not as of this writing). As of our April 2015 visit, a 10-minute session on the main Go-Kart track was $11 for a single-person kart, and $16 for a two-person kart. I seem to recall they also offered 10 sessions for $80. And there were some other pricing options too. * One annoyance is that in allowing kids as young as 12 on the main track, you get some young ones who really don't know what they are doing. One youngster was all over the track, crashing several times into the tires that defined the track, and at one point he suddenly, without warning, swerved right in front of me and I had no way to avoid t-boning him. In another session, a young kid comes into the "pit area" at the end of the session but fails to apply the brakes and ends up rear-ending another kid at full speed. I'd suggest they have a minimum age of 14, and pull kids off the track if they're quite obviously not able to handle it. * There is a bouquet of flowers along the edge of the track at the northwest corner. I am wondering, "did someone DIE in a Go-Kart accident?". That's a little disconcerting.
