Warm Little Beach
This really is one of the best little beaches you can find. We went on the record-breaking heat wave weekend (along with every other human being within 20 miles, it felt like), and just sat in the shade to cool off. It's remarkably clean, nice, and spacious (when there aren't a million people there).

A wonderful place on Lake Washington
This park along with others along the Kirkland shore of Lake Washington exist because of the leadership of Kirkland Council member Doris Cooper. She worked hard to attain the purchase of what were oil company tank farms on the lake shore for transformation into shoreline parks. Other parks along the lake were a result of this effort, i.e. Marsh Park. The alternative would have been condominium developments. Thank you Doris.
