Amazing Falls

Took a day trip up towards Stevens Pass and found this interesting gem along the way. Parking lot was closed due to COVID19 but several areas to pull off along the highway. Be careful, traffic is zooming by. Easy walk on groomed trail and stairs down to viewing areas. Pedestrian bridge crosses creek to other side to walk under highway bridge. Very fast flowing creek in wet season. Short nature trail also here down to main river. Well worth the stop when passing through.

recommended only if it is on your way
a very recommended to stop by for 10-15 mins only while going to leavenworth or to lake wenatchee from Seattle. dont go only to see this fall, because it is a very small one and not worth the 2 hours drive.

A mesmerizing introduction to the North Cascades
The Falls is between Skykomish and Steven's Pass on Route 2 which runs in the middle of Snoqualmie National Forest. From I-5 north we turned right on Route 2 and headed East. It's not the tallest falls in the US but it cascades beautifully down the mountain and goes under Route 2 and continues down further south. Great place to take pictures of the falls as it approaches Rt. 2 . WARNING ! be careful when taking pictures from the road; there is not much of a shoulder to stand on to take pictures as the water comes down and under the road. There is a place to climb down and a small landing under the road to take pictures but most people get out of the car and cross the road for pictures. Cars speed by and it's easy to get engrossed in your picture taking and forget there are vehicles whizzing by in both directions.
