Tiny memorial honors Arlington's war vets

I was walking around Clarendon when I spotted this small old stone memorial and stopped to look it over. It has small plaques from various conflicts with names of service members from Arlington County. It's on the south end of Clarendon Central Park and almost looks like just a part of the park. It's rather small, but that's okay. What's also nice is the north side of Wilson where a bunch of historical photos from the area are hung up behind glass windows to display local spots from the past. While a small spot, it's interesting. I wouldn't go out of my way unless I'm a huge local-history fan, but if you're heading into or out of inner Arlington for a sight-seeing trip, it might be worth a quick stop. Plus, there are TONS of great restaurants in the area. Go for lunch, stop for some history.
