Disappointed

Imagine a totally electrifying day out at Britain’s ultimate castle. Where you can immerse yourself in a thousand years of jaw-dropping history – come rain or shine.Where ancient myths and spell-binding tales set your imagination alight, and your hair on end. Where princesses are pampered and maidens are wooed, as winners become true heroes and losers are confined to dark, dank dungeons to be forgotten for eternity. It could only be Warwick Castle.

    Christmas at the castle
For 3 adults and 1 4 year old to attend, ice skate, visit santa and then complete the light trail it cost almost £300. Skate aids for kids an EXTRA £5!!!! ABSOLUTELY FUMING. Santa was amazing and it offers a chance for a photo with him. But Santa doesn't look your way on purpose so at the end of the experience you have the opportunity to buy a professional photo for £25!!!! Completely soured a wonderful experience, that my 4 year old was in ore of. Light trail was nice, one of the better ones I've been too but queues to get in were chaos. Our timed entry was 4.45 and the people behind were 5.30 but were still allowed through, making our walk through very busy, slow and people constantly bumping into me. To add insult to injury because the entry system was chaos we were made to queue 10 minutes to get out of the trail too. Christmas food market felt cramped, not enough seating and would have been lovely if there were non food stalls too. car parking was £6 for a car park 20 minutes away which isn't lite on your walk back in the pitch black. Horrendous We went to blenhiem last year for around the same cost and wanted to try something different, warrick was an extra 45 minute drive each way and in my opinion really wasn't worth it. Blenhiem has a lovely Christmas Market, fair ground and afternoon tea all for the same cost. My family all said we wouldn't come back at christmas time again to warrick. The extra costs they imposed on us were insulting

    Disappointed
Visited with family for a pre Christmas treat. The enchanting Christmas Market is not a market at all - it was a few stalls to buy tremendously overpriced food. (Hardly a festive feast). The ice skating at £19 per person was good except you then had to purchase an aid for an additional £5 to assist the little people. We went with my daughter and her family and my Son and his family in all 12 of us. We did the Light show and 8 did ice skating (of which 4 needed a penguin aid) that’s a staggering £578 for our family and that was before we paid £9.50 for noodles. £6.50 for a Hot dog on dry bread. In all another £120 plus on food and coffee. EXTORTIONATE However the Light trail was amazing as was the Falconry display Pity we then had to pay parking on top of that with 4 cars.
