sadly I arrived after hours
I arrived in Orsha after working hours so I couldn't visit this museum. but it is a beautiful building. I hope I can visit the museum next time I am in Orsha.

view of the recent past of Orsha
The museum focuses most on the life of farmers in the rather poor area around Orsha, by handicraft in the 17th-19th century. The museum is housed in an old water mill, one of the few buildings that survided the German bombardments of 1941. Also some curiuos information is provided on steamers on the Dnjepr for which Orsha was an important harbour, as nowadays commercial navigation on the Dnjepr in this part of the river does not exist anymore.
