4.5 (13 reviews) Spent Ranking #5 in Siquijor Island Bodies of Water

A little adventure and so good fun

Never tried that before. Swimming into a narrow river cave with headlight flash. Had a personal guide, Salli, who took so good care of me :)

    Omg awesome, amazing!!
We randomly called in here not knowing what to expect or even where we were? Lost on our scooter in Siquijor. So we call in for a tour. No briefing or information on what to expect which is probably for the best or I may not have entered. Our guide takes us down steps into the underground river entrance. We quickly realise shoes and clothes aren’t needed only bathers and in hindsight possibly water shoes. You then swim with a headlamp on through a narrow underwater river. Over a few more slippery rocks and you see a beautiful underwater lake which you swim through too before following the same route back. The guide then took us to see some bats in a cave and after scurrying under a low rock to a cave with stalagmites. It was a crazy, unbelievable, awesome experience and I would recommend you go soon before everyone finds out about it!!!

    Fun time
To be honest, it wasn't what i was expecting. This is a very new attraction on the island (it's only been open a little over a year, according to my guide) and i feel like they are still developing it. That's not a bad thing, just my impression. you start out by going down a long steep stairway and then a short walk to the underground river. It's not very wide but fairly high. The water isn't cold and was rather comfortable. If you're not a good swimmer, you could use the wall to pull yourself along. easy. Didn't take very long to get to the end and the swim was relaxing. when you get to the end, i'd suggested turning off your headlight. The darkness is so complete it's amazing. after swimming back, they take you to see a little area where some bats are roosting (is that the right word?) and then you climb up to another area see some stalactites. They are nice, but that climb is a bit slippery and there is a section where you have to squat for a while to make your way through a small section. overall, i enjoyed this. i think it was worthwhile (even though it's a long drive to get there) and do recommend going.
