Malumpanti Adventure for January 2015
This place is a simple but relaxing place to stay. We decided to take Ceres bus from Caticlan port by 6:30 am going to Pandan. We dropped to Polion and rent a tricycle going to Malumpati. It is really easy to go there. I advised that those people who want to go there at least their own vehicle as they ask too much for rental of the tricycle. I do ask for discount for 7 people with 2 little kids (2and 4 years) and they asked for 300 pesos. Based on the conversation, they normally asked for 100 peso for 4-5 persons but in our case, they asked for 300 pesos. The road is quite bumpy and muddy as we went there partly raining... It was about 10 minutes ride and we have to move down and push the tricycle going up before it goes down again.... Anyway when we get there, we were able to choose the hut, the biggest one.. It was 100 peso for all of us plus an entrance fee of 10 / peso. We paid 170.00 for hut and entrance plus a rent of round black floater of 80.00 peso for 6 pieces. I really like this place because they have a lot of people from municipality cleaning and maintaining the place. If I am not mistaken, we were able to get there before or around 8 in the morning. They really brush the tables and chair of every hut. They scrubbed the floor and side of the pool.. and they clean the water using net to get the leaves....The bathroom and restroom are clean and even the wash area for the dishes... People there are really nice... and approachable.... If you are fun of drinking spring water... you can have it there.. free and really cold. There few little restaurant, overnight room just across the place... There is store where you can buy the basic need for cooking... and even rent the cookware for a minimal amount... When you get there, you can asked or buy the rice cake (suman in tagalog) or ibus in caray-a.. their dialect... It is really naturally sweet and really good if you have hot chocolate in the morning... and other pasalubong and souvenir items.... The water is cold but not really cold and they have 2 planks where you can dive.... I like the color of the water.. it is a river but the color of water is blue or blue green... just take a look a picture by your own eyes...It is calm and cold and enjoyable to swim for all ages...

....very clean and emerald to sapphire in color.
We were already amazed with the view of the river as we enter the rocky road leading to the Malumpati Health Spring. The water is very clean and emerald to sapphire in color; no doubt to be awarded as the Cleanest River in the Country. When we arrived, the place seems a kind of rustic and need to be improved but despite of that the swimming area was really fantastic as the clean chilling water is worth it. The Comfort Rooms and Shower Rooms are in satisfaction rate. The cottage price was Ok as well as the other fees. The place is far but for adventure seekers, this place is a must. Overall Malumpati Coldspring is Very Good.
