Rode with the engineer Santiago in the locomotive with 5 others from my group. He let me pull the cord and toot the horn before crossings. What fun!

    History of Sugarcane Factory
    Interesting place to visit. You can see how they make sugars from the cane as well as the history of slavery. Must seen if you are going to county tour.

    Old sugar cane mill
    We stopped here on our tour of Santa Clara/Remedios. There is an old sugar mill you can see with its history on display as well as old steam trains. Upstairs you can buy cigars and drinks. Apparently on a different tour you can learn to roll cigars here too. Nice little spot with not much to see just in and out.
