    First Time in a Decade
Because it is on my Ikon Pass, I went back here for the first time in a decade. The place has really changed! Rickety old 2 person lifts have become 6 person high speed lifts. They did keep the original Tamarack lift. If you haven't been in a while, make sure you check the map. The trails are the same, but the lift system is very different. Parking is good. I had to park remotely, but they have good shuttle service. The bus comes often. The shuttle stop at the resort is fairly close to the lifts. The lodge has nice locker rooms and the cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a ski area. They had adequate storage for gear while you are skiing. It is pretty easy to get to the lift. The lift will only take you mid-mountain but you can connect to anywhere from there. The gondola will take you to the summit but was closed due to high winds. This resort has great trails at all levels. Mike's Way and the trails below it are especially nice greens. Lower mountain intermediates are excellent. Upper mountain trails are typically black, but most of th em are groomed and not bad. My only complaint was that they no longer have anything with bathrooms at the summit. I remember a small lodge up there. Now they only have ski patrol, a small snack bar with no restrooms, and a giant wood bear carving.

    BEST OF VERMONT.
I’ve loved this place since the 1980s. I’m a big snowboarder and snowboarding was first excepted here so I feel very at home. Great variation of terrain, perfect for families, beginners, experts, everything in between. Unfortunately it’s located in Vermont, so that entails all of the typical Vermont weather issues, including ice. Ice is good for character. It’s just bad for wrists and knees and heads, so be careful out there everybody and have fun and learn how to ski & snowboard really well because this is the place to do it. And then shred the hell of the mountain because this mountain can challenge you to whatever level you’re capable of being challenged.
