Beautiful Lake in Ski resort

The Inca Lake is beautiful. There is a restaurant and cafe to nourish you after the 28 hairpins of the Caracoles. You can walk the left side in the off season and it takes an hour. The paths are not clear so have a coffee and ask someone at the cafe. In the ski season this is Black Run skiing. The story of the Inca Lakes romance is touching and depicted on a boardwalk overlooking the lake.

    Cordillera de los Andes, mountain pass in the Andes between Argentina and Chile
    If you ever visit Los Andes in Chile or are in the vicinity, I recommend you take a day trip to Laguna del Inca, Cristo Redentor and all the wading trails near Paso Internacional Los Libertadores. The outlook from this mountain range is astonishing and they beat most things when it comes to nature trails and views.

    A lovely day out to a beautiful place in the Andes
    We four took a Turistik tour to Portillo and Laguna del Inca. Our guide Pablo was very informative, helpful and an around nice tour guide. Our driver Francisco was careful in our big bus going up and down hairpin turns on the trip. There was a lot of not particularly interesting scenery on our over two hour drive from Santiago to Laguna del Inca and return, which allowed for napping. Once arriving at Laguna del Inca, about all you can do is take photos and eat lunch in the restaurant at Portillo hotel.But it is very pretty and worth seeing.
