Great museum
This charming home of the famous Chilean poet overlooks the Pacific and contains unusual collections, the tuxedo he wore when accepting the 1971 Nobel Prize and the simple burial plot of Neruda and his wife.

Nice house and beach
This is the house of poet Pablo Neruda, winner of a Nobel Prize. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the house is closed as well as the restaurant. However, we could observe the house from the beach. There is a sculpture of Neruda's face on a beach rock. The house looks very nice from the beach. Note: This beach is not for swimmers.

Bus to Isla Negra from Valparaiso
Most people come here by car but you can do a half-day trip via bus. From Valparaiso you take the bus from the terminal, buy the ticket at counter 8. They leave every hour. I took the bus at 8:05 am which allows you to be at the museum at 10 am. Tell the driver to stop in Isla Negra. The visit only takes an hour, then catch a bus back and you still have all afternoon to spend in Valpo. The trip is totally worth it, you can feel that this was Neruda's favourite house.
