From Gangai Bridge you will have a beautiful view of river, harbour, bay and estuary... a road bridge across Mahavali Gangai (Mahaweli Ganga) in eastern Sri Lanka. The bridge was formally opened on 19 October 2011. The bridge is 245 m and it is part of the Batticaloa-Trincomalee highway. The bridge replaced a ferry boat service that had been transporting people and vehicles across the river

Longest river in sri lanka.
Its amazing to see the sri lanka longest river. Very beautiful and sime places can ride a good boat trips.. It was a nice experience to see the big dams made for generate electricity.

Beautiful and serene
A must visit boat ride when you visit kandy.The shooting of indiana jones was done here.The river boat ride is 1 hour and Is surrounded by forest and birds on both sides
