Stunning lakeside views

Lake Dos Bocas is an artificial lake that was created on 1942 as a hydroelectric power plant and works as a water reserve. The lake features a creative culinary experience. It is located between the towns of Arecibo and Utuado. It also has five restaurants that you are taken to by boat. You can board the boat from a dock called El Embarcadero that departs every hour and makes stops at all of the restaurants. The boat ride takes about 30 minutes where you can enjoy nature, the beautiful lake and think about the delicious food you could indulge.

This is a surprise and fun- a boat ride to a lakeside diner -beautiful views and away from it all
You come to a boat site ( looks like it was built for a lot of boats and people but it was just one boat and only a few people when we were there. For two dollars a person they take you on a nice 7 minute or so boat ride on a pretty lake. You get there and climb up a very steep walk- way ( not for anyone disabled or unstable) and have a good lunch with a dynamite view. They you call the boat and get back to the ramp and a very pretty area

Beautiful Drive - Combine with Canyon Blanco
We explored this region by driving around the lake. I did not see signs that the restaurants and other establishments that used to be around the rim of the lake are still active (12/2019), but we were there on a week day so perhaps that's why. You can combine a drive around this scenic lake with a visit to Utuado and then continue on the road to Jayuya, visiting the Canyon Blanco along the way. If possible ask for directions to Canyon Blanco, otherwise use Google and just look for the really small signs.
