Serenity

We drove to Cañon Blanco based on a local rec. It was a long winding ride but amazing spot. The rock formations reveal white smooth structures. We had a little dip and felt so refreshed. There are about 3 parking spots at the main site but we parked a little further on where there is more space. Water levels are rather low.

    Very nice river
    This is an easy access river. Some parking available. Lots of nice rock formations and several entrances. Bring proper water friendly foot ware. Get in early and bring sun block. Perfect for hiking, couples and just chilling.

    Beautiful and Tranquil Swimming Spot - Hard to Find
    Ernesto, the Mayor of Utuado, greeted us in town and suggested that we stop at Canyon Blanco on our way to Jayuya. It was a great recommendation! However, it is quite hard to find as of 12/2019. If possible ask a local; if not, just follow the road between Utuado and Jayuya and look for the small signs. The car park is very small, then you walk down a little foot path to a beautiful swimming hole surrounded by big white boulders and stone walls. I'm not sure where you have to look to see the neolithic paintings, so we may have missed a more significant entrance. But this swimming hole, which we had to ourselves, was really serene.
