Unexpectedly loved this museum
Okay it was all in Dutch but what a little gem of a museum. Even a disinterested teenager enjoyed wandering round. Filed a pleasant couple of hours and a nice, inexpensive cafe for a snack or coffee.

A trip to the past
This museum shows exhibitions with various works of art and applied arts. There is also a room across the canal that shows how old people were kept in a home. In the summer months there are volunteers that act as if it still is 1907. Great for kids!

Nicely done, kid friendly
We went to this very nice little museum with two boys, 4 and 6. There are interactive displays of interest for kids. A mix of historical and contemporary exhibits, well done in an authentic canal house, actually a conglomerate of 3 old Dutch canal houses. There is a great treasure hunt for kids, but in Dutch only, unfortunately. All the exhibit descriptions are in Dutch only, which makes it a real challenge. Having my Dutch wife along made it much more accessible, but for pure Anglos, this will make much of the museum a challenge to understand.
